George Xu, a veteran martial artist from Shanghai, teaches the first half of a beautiful and complex Pa Qua form. The form is demonstrate1184.jpg (2714 bytes)d. Then Xu gives walking and hand movement basics. Then short groups of movements are repeated three times each in sequence. Applications of the form are then given and repeated in slow and fast speed. Pa Qua (Bagua), like T'ai Chi, is an internal martial art with many of the same principles. In part 2, George Xu performs the last four palms of the Eight Palm Dragon Pa Chang set: Tiger Palm, Eagle Palm, Unicorn Palm, and Chicken Palm. Includes Pa Kua applications. This is the sequel to Part 1, listed above. Xu demonstrates the form for each palm, breaking each down into short sequences, which are repeated three times. Concludes with demonstration. |
