With this issue, we begin the 15th year of publishing T’AI CHI and the 11th year for the Wayfarer Publications catalog of books and videos about T’ai Chi Ch’uan and ch’i kung.
What began as a four-page newsletter has grown into a 48-page magazine which promotes and supports the growth of T’ai Chi Ch’uan and related studies.
I started the publication because, as a teacher, I felt that students needed additional information to understand what they were doing and why.
Looking back, I think that the publication has succeeded in providing that information from a broad spectrum of T’ai Chi Ch’uan viewpoints.
I would like to thank many of you who have been subscribers from the beginning and continue to give your support.
A publication like this does not continue and grow without the support of many people.
Even from the early years there were many helpful articles contributors – Sophia Delza, Wu Ta’yeh, Kai-Ying Tung, Paul Gallagher and many others. Their help has provided practitioners with inspiration and knowledge.
Today, there are many important contributors whose articles in T’AI CHI have helped to support practitioners around the world.
I would also like to thank those teachers and practitioners who recommend T’AI CHI to their students and friends.
For the future, I will try to expand the publication and the service it provides so that a growing number of people will have access to more useful information.
