T’AI CHI publishes free, as a public service, news of events in the T’ai Chi Ch’uan community. The items must include the date, location, sponsor and subject of the event, along with identification of the featured teacher.
It must specify the cost so readers will know right away whether it is within their budget. List the name, address and telephone number of a contact for additional information.
To be effective, an item should be published in an issue well in advance of the event. The deadline for editorial material is six weeks before the month of publication. Editorial deadlines are February 15, April 15, June 15, August 15, October 15 and December 15.
In timing announcements, allow for delivery of the issue through the mail after it is printed. Each event can be published only once in T’ai Chi Notes.
In listing on the online calendar, please do not send duplicate announcements. If there is an error, contact us. Listings should not be posted unless they are within 4 months of the date of the seminar. Sorry, we cannot list events six months to a year ahead of time.
T’AI CHI reserves the right to edit items submitted. Items are used at the publication’s discretion and based on space available and date.
Due to limitations of time and personnel, it is usually not possible to rewrite or extract information from organization newsletters, especially since they may not include all the information required for our listings.
